Registration gives customers the ability to save for example. Address data, so as not to have to enter each time with future purchases. From the administrator gives you a lot of options, eg. Adding to customer groups, assigning individual discounts, conducting mailings, etc..

The main settings are available in the menu SETTINGS> CUSTOMERS> REGISTRATION
When you set require registration confirmation to YES

The CUSTOMERS can not login if their e-mail address is not verified,
  • because the CUSTOMER did not click on the link that was sent to their email address after registration, or
  • because the store administrator did not verify the e-mail address manually. 

    With the ability to edit the contents of an email sent to the customer (you can remove the link activation), and the ability to manually activate the customer's account, we can decide if the new customer has the right to buy (eg. By verifying the customer's details).
When only logged can see the prices is set to YES

Only registered and logged in customers will see the prices of the products and will be able to add products to their cart. 

The option when registering, require pick one of the two options, which translates to a registration form:
  • only e-mail address and password registration form only email and password
  • full address complete the registration form


The option one-time discount for new customers determines if new customers get a one time discount.

To change the amount of discount that is given to new customers, or to turn it off, go to the menu SETTINGS> MARKETING> DISCOUNTS 
There you can find the option One-time discount for new customers and enter a value. If you would like to disable one-time discounts, enter 0 (zero) as value.
